Thyra Moore

Thyra Moore is an accomplished mixed media artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Pennsylvania. She has studied with many esteemed artists, including John Salminen, Frank Webb, Rosso Crimson, Skip Lawrence, Liz Murphy and Katherine Chang Liu, which has shaped her distinctive approach to art, blending abstraction, realism, and imaginative exploration.

Thyra is a Signature Member of several respected art associations and an active participant in the art community. Her work has been exhibited in numerous juried group shows, as well as in solo exhibitions, and she is represented by galleries showcasing contemporary art. Among her many accolades are Best in Show at the District Arts show for Wind, the ISEA Experimental Art Award in the International Society of Acrylic Painters Online International Open Exhibit, and First Place in the Faber Birren National Color Award Show.

With a strong foundation in both the technical and conceptual aspects of art, Thyra brings a discerning and inclusive perspective to her role as a juror. She values creativity, originality, and the emotional resonance that art can evoke, encouraging artists to push boundaries while remaining authentic to their vision. Her approach celebrates diversity in artistic expression, aiming to create a well-rounded and compelling exhibition that inspires both participants and viewers.
